M. Jean-Laurent Bonnaf est directeur général et administrateur de BNP Paribas Arbitrage SNC. Après la fusion de la BNP avec Paribas en 2000, il a dirigé le processus d'intégration post-fusion. En 2002, Jean-Laurent Bonnaf est nommé Directeur du pôle Banque de Détail en France du Groupe BNP Paribas et devient membre du Comité Exécutif du Groupe. En 2006, lors de la fusion de BNL avec le groupe BNP Paribas, il est nommé Directeur Général de BNL. En 2008, il devient Directeur Général Délégué de BNP Paribas et prend la responsabilité des activités de banque de détail de l'ensemble du groupe. Le 14 mai 2009, Jean-Laurent Bonnaf est nommé Chief Executive Officer de Fortis Banque, poste qu'il occupera jusqu'au 1er février 2011 avec pour mission principale d'assurer l'intégration harmonieuse des activités de Fortis Retail Banking dans le Groupe. Lors de l'Assemblée Générale du 12 mai 2010, il a été élu membre du Conseil d'Administration du Groupe BNP Paribas. Le 1er décembre 2011, le Conseil d'administration a nommé Jean-Laurent Bonnaf Directeur général du Groupe. Par ailleurs, il siège au conseil d'administration de Carrefour. Il a rejoint la fonction publique française, travaillant d'abord comme haut fonctionnaire au ministère de l'Industrie, puis comme conseiller technique auprès du ministre du Commerce et de l'Industrie. En 1993, il rejoint la BNP en tant que banquier d'affaires senior. En 1997, il a été nommé responsable de la stratégie et du développement. Il est ingénieur diplômé de l'Ecole Polytechnique et de l'Ecole des Mines, deux établissements d'enseignement supérieur français de premier plan.
