L'objectif de gestion du Compartiment est la recherche de plus-value en capital sur le long terme. Le Compartiment compte réaliser son objectif d'investissement en plaçant au moins 70 % de son actif total dans des actions et des titres de participation de sociétés constituées à Hong-Kong ou en Chine, ou qui exercent la majeure partie de leurs activités économiques dans ces pays. Les titres de participation sont définis à la rubrique intitulée « Stratégie d'investissement : généralités ». À ces fins, le terme « actif total » exclut les liquidités et les actifs liquides accessoires.
