Dr. Adriano de Leverano is a Researcher at ZEW-Leibniz-Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung.
He joined ZEW's Junior Research Group “Public Procurement” in October 2019.
He is an applied microeconomist working in the field of industrial organisation, antitrust, and regulation.
His particular focus is on competition in the public procurement market.
In his research, he analyses possible sources of inefficiencies, such as collusion on prices and other types of collusion, as well as possible solutions for improving the procurement performance, e.g.
through reference prices, in the procurement of medical supplies by hospitals.
He obtained his PhD in applied economics at HEC Montréal in September 2019 under the supervision of Professor Robert Clark and Professor Decio Coviello.
