Andreas joined BayTech Venture Capital in 2002.
He contributes his broad experience and know-how, which draws on his activities in senior positions with leading global companies, as a Venture Capital investor and as a start-up entrepreneur.
His experience in the Semiconductor industry covers more than 11 years, gained in several countries, primarily in Silicon Valley and in Germany.
After holding financial management positions with Siemens in Germany and South Africa, he joined Siemens Semiconductors (later Infineon Technologies) in 1997 in Silicon Valley to successfully build up a fiber optics group as Operational Director.
After returning to Europe in 1999, he was instrumental in establishing Infineon Ventures as a significant corporate investor in high-tech start-ups and was involved in more than 30 transactions in the US, Israel and Europe.
In 2001, he joined one of his former colleagues in co-founding start-up company MergeOptics in Berlin.
As CFO, he was successful in raising funds during one of the toughest periods following 9/11.
His contribution helped to set the fledgling company firmly on its growth path.
He joined BayTech Venture Capital in September 2002.
As an Investment Professional, he focuses on investments in Semiconductors and related segments.
He is a Member of the Boards of Xignal Technologies AG and ChipVision Design Systems AG.
Andreas holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Karlsruhe University and a Business Administration qualification from Siemens AG.
