Mr. Anthony S.
Arefian, CFA MBA, is a Senior Managing Director & Portfolio Management at Los Angeles Capital Management LLC.
He joined the firm in June 2010 and currently leads the firm’s Portfolio Management & Portfolio Implementation teams.
He brings proven credibility, integrity, clear communication, and deep investment expertise to role, and a focus on strengthening the portfolio platform, building team-based coverage, enhancing technological capabilities, and communicating with clients and prospects.
He works closely with both the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Executive Officer to ensure decisions align with client objectives and the firm’s strategy and he also serves on the management committee.
Mr. Arefian was previously a member of the firm’s Research department, focusing on new factor ideas for possible inclusion in Los Angeles Capital’s Dynamic Alpha Stock Selection Model, as well as monitoring and refining current factors.
He was also involved in the research and management of the firm’s global model efforts, with a research emphasis including asset pricing, financial statement analysis, corporate finance, and macroeconomics.
He holds bachelors degree from University of Southern California and MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
He is a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles, Inc. and the CFA Institute, from which he received the CFA Charter in 2008.
