Johnson is a member of the Fund's Advisory Board.
Mr. Johnson is the 2009-2010 Chairman of the American Bankers Association.
He is also Chairman and CEO of United Bank of Michigan, a $430 million institution, and Chairman, President and CEO of United Community Financial Corporation, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Mr. Johnson has previously served on the ABA Community Bankers Council and its Administrative Committee and is a past Chairman of both the ABA Government Relations Council and the BankPac Committee.
He also has served the Michigan Bankers Association in many capacities, including as its President in 1998-1999, and he was named Michigan Banker of the Year in 2000.
Mr. Johnson has volunteered his time to benefit several organizations, including Habitat for Humanity of Kent County and WGVU public radio.
He is a director of The Employers' Association.
Both the Michigan District of the SBA and the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce named Mr. Johnson the Financial Services Advocate of the Year in 1988.
Mr. Johnson holds a B.A. degree in finance from Michigan State University, East Lansing, and an M.B.A. from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo.
