Boyko Metodiev Borisov is the founder of Ipon 1 Ood, founded in 1991, and GERB, founded in 2006 where he holds the title of Chairman.
He was also the former Prime Minister of Bulgaria from 2014 to 2017 and again from 2017 to 2021.
Prior to his time as Prime Minister, he was the Mayor of the City of Sofia from 2005 to 2009 and the Chief Secretary of the Bulgaria Ministry of Interior from 2001 to 2005.
