Dr. Saunders most recently served as the senior vice president for medical and academic affairs at St. Luke's Hospital & Health Network for nearly 14 years before retiring in late 2007.
Prior to this position, he was the urology section chief at St. Luke's Hospital – Bethlehem Campus for many years.
Dr. Saunders is a graduate of Yale University and earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia.
He has been a board-certified urologist for more than 30 years.
He is a former president of the Northampton County Medical Society and president of the medical staff at St. Luke's Hospital – Bethlehem Campus.
Dr. Saunders previously represented the Medical Staff on the Board of Trustees and served as chairman of the Finance Committee.
