Mr. Hughes started his career with McKinsey & Company in 1980 in Los Angeles, returned to Los Angeles as an Associate in 1984 after business school, and was elected a partner in 1989.
In 1992, he moved east to help start and grow McKinsey's New Jersey office.
At McKinsey, he was known for his work helping clients develop and execute growth strategies.
His work contributed to the development of two $500 million - $1 billion divisions of Fortune 500 companies from starting points under $100 million in revenue.
Mr. Hughes was a Baker Scholar at the Harvard Business School, where he earned an M.B.A., and he holds a B.A.
in Economics, magna cum laude, from the University of Southern California, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Chip is a member of USC's Board of Councilors for the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences.
