NL Capital Management, Inc.
NL Capital Management, Inc. Investment ManagersFinance For private clients, NL's goal as equity managers is to invest in superior companies with sustainable earnings growth rates and reasonable valuations. They look for companies that have the following characteristics: strong cash flow and earnings profile, attractive growth prospects, high ROC, solid balance sheets, superior management, established competitive position and reasonable valuation for growth rate. They select those companies with compelling values for their growth rates or underlying asset value. They strive to build portfolios of stocks that have a strong positive growth bias with limited downside exposure. NL limits fixed-income investments to U.S. government, mortgage-backed, tax-exempt and high quality corporate issues. They are active managers, concentrating on those areas of the bond market that offer the best risk/reward profile. The firm's large-cap core institutional management investment process is focused on identifying companies with sustainable, enduring, long-term growth prospects selling at relatively attractive valuations. NL believes that mid-cap growth companies with above average earnings growth and reasonable p/e ratios should provide superior total returns over time. Their process to identify attractive candidates for their core portfolio is based upon a proprietary multi-factor model. From the companies that emerge from this screening process, they select those that are dominant in their market with defensible franchises. Their institutional small-cap core philosophy is based on the belief that investing in high quality small-cap companies trading at a discount to their fair value minimizes risk and increases the probability of investment success. Their investment approach is driven by concepts designed to reduce risk and generate excess return. NL's investment objective for institutional fixed-income management is to provide high current income, capital preservation and superior long-term total return. They maintain a balanced investment strategy that allows them to capture short-term price movements while maintaining attractive levels of income. | President | 01/01/2006 |
