Before that, he was a Managing Partner of Oppenheim ACA GmbH, founded in September 2000, for ten years.
Within the portfolio management team, he was the expert responsible for the regions of Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and the United Kingdom, and for the sectors of renewable energies, media, Internet, telcos, and IT.
He began his career in 1988 with a banking apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank’s Bonn branch, where he became a member of the bank’s supra-regional talent pool.
He spent over 12 years in Asset Management and Equity Research at Deutsche Bank.
He held senior positions in various research sectors and played a leading role in numerous IPOs.
He was Director and Co-Head of the Mid-Cap Group at Deutsche Bank until the summer of 2000 and was ranked among the TOP 100 of the New Economy in Germany in September 2000.
At the same time, he took a degree course in business economics at the Open University of Hagen (with business finance as his main subject) where he graduated with a Diplom-Kaufmann.
