UIB Capital, Inc.
UIB Capital, Inc. Investment ManagersFinance UIBC is a private equity investment manager focused on the lower middle market and following Sharia-compliant investment principles with a long-term outlook. The firm invests in North America as well as in Europe, in the Middle East particularly in the Gulf States, in North Africa and in South East Asia. They participate in transactions including MBOs, spinoffs, corporate successions, public-to-private transactions, growth financing and recapitalization of family-owned or closely-held businesses. They favor common shares, and avoid participating shares or significantly leveraged transactions. They target lower middle-market companies with revenues above USD 20 million and USD 5 million or more in EBITDA. UIBC's preferred sectors include healthcare, consumer products, technology, light manufacturing, business services, oil and gas. They favor fragmented sectors with consolidation potential, particularly in the GCC region. Their investment criteria include an identified market niche, a competitive advantage, strong near-term growth prospects and an experienced management team. They sit on the board of their portfolio companies and actively seek to build them into market leaders both through internal growth and through acquisitions. Their strategy consists in building value through a combination of conservative capital structures, sound but ambitious business strategies and proper execution. They aim to replicate successful business models in larger markets. UIBC invests USD 10 to 25 million per deal and usually acquires majority stakes, but will consider minority participations on an opportunistic basis. They participate in larger deals and in turnaround situations as co-investors only. Their exit strategies include sale to a strategic buyer, partial liquidation and IPO. | Private Equity Investor | - |
