Tiralongo is a Chief Investment Officer at Counsel Portfolio Services, Inc. Mr. Tiralongo leads a team of Portfolio Managers and Analysts who are responsible for the design, construction, and monitoring of portfolios offered through Counsel and IPC Private Wealth.
This includes providing oversight for the risk management strategies of the portfolios strategies.
As part of this process, he also leads the team in the careful research, selection, and monitoring of every investment specialist on our roster.
He has over 18 years of experience in portfolio management and private client investment management.
Prior to joining Counsel, Mr. Tiralongo was a Senior Portfolio Manager at a bank-owned dealer, where he was responsible for overseeing the management of $16 billion in assets under management and the due diligence process of its external portfolio managers.
Mr. Tiralongo has an Executive Masters of Business Administration from the Joseph L.
Rotman School of Business, University of Toronto, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics from McMaster University.
He also holds the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation.
