Prior to joining United Capital, Dana was a Principal at Grail Partners, LLC, a merchant banking firm dedicated to providing capital and M&A advice to the Asset Management and related industries.
His role included sourcing, executing and monitoring private equity investments and executing M&A transactions.
Dana was a Board Observer for several portfolio companies including United Capital and Munder Capital Management.
Prior to Grail, Dana was an associate at Conning Capital, a financial and healthcare services-focused private equity firm with over $500 million under management.
Before Conning, he was an investment banking analyst at Putnam Lovell Securities.
Mr. Kurttila earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Fairfield University, where he was awarded the Dolan School of Business Award for Top Graduating Senior in Finance and played Division 1 college soccer.
