Dr. Daniel Cerquera is Senior Research Analyst at Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung GmbH.
Since April 2006, Dr. Cerquera has been working as a researcher at the Centre for European Economic Research in the research group "Information and Communication Technologies".
His main fields of research are productivity, innovation and competition issues in ICT intensive industries.
Dr. Cerquera studied economics at the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia.
After finishing his studies he worked for the Ministry of Planning (DNP) and for the Colombian Stock Exchange.
Between August 2001 and May 2002 he participated in the "Advanced Studies Program in International Economic Policy Research" at the Kiel Institute for World Economics, Germany.
He obtained his Ph.D.
in economics from the University of Munich in April 2006 with the dissertation "Dynamic R&D Incentives in Network Industries".
