Mr. David A. Nygren, CFA, is a Head of Mortgage Investments at RBC Global Asset Management, Inc. (RBC GAM).
He is actively involved in the leadership, expansion, and operations of the mortgage investment business.
Mr. Nygren is responsible for all portfolio management aspects of the RBC GAM mortgage funds including origination strategy, credit, and asset management.
During his time at RBC GAM, he has been involved in some of Canada’s most complex real estate finance transactions and successfully invested in over $20BN of mortgage investments.
Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Mr. Nygren spent seven years at one of the commercial mortgage and real estate finance firms that originates mortgages for the team.
In that role, he developed a mortgage risk analysis department that provided market transaction oversight, valuation, and market analysis and research.
He received his BComm degree from the University of British Columbia.
