Dr. Diego Saravia Tamayo is Manager of Economic Research at Banco Central de Chile SA.
He joined the Central Bank in 2009 as Senior Economist in the Economic Research Managment and eventually became the Chief of Model and Projection of the Microeconomic Analysis Management Department.
Previously, he worked as Professor of Economics at the Instituto de Economía de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, as Internal Audit at the Instituto Nacional de Reaseguro de Argentina, and as Finance and Economic Advisor at the Banco Central de Argentina.
Dr. Saravia Tamayo is a graduate of Accountancy from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina.
He has Master's and PhD achievements in Economics from the Universidad del CEMA de Buenos Aires and Maryland University, College Park, United States of America.
