Profil
Ms. White has been an entrepreneur, having co-founded and led a chain of decorative home stores in Washington, DC, Philadelphia and New York.
She was named Retailer of the Year by the National Retail Federation, the largest retail trade association in the world, where she later also sat on the Board.
She also taught entrepreneurship at Trinity College and has conducted numerous trade workshops abroad, providing participating companies with strategies for entering the U.S.
market.
Ms. White was Senior Advisor to the CEO of the Calvert Group, one of the largest socially responsible investment companies in the U.S.
There she co-authored the Calvert Women’s Principles, (CWP), and played a key role in the adaptation of CWP to the Women’s Empowerment Principles, launched by the UN Global Compact and UNIFEM in 2010.
Ms. White holds a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard School of Business, a master’s degree in international studies from Johns Hopkins University, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Oberlin College in Oberlin, OH.
