A native of Philadelphia, Ms. van der Horst herself came to Cincinnati as a young professional, getting her start at Procter & Gamble before establishing a successful, 22-year career with The PNC Financial Services Group, most recently as executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
In addition to her extensive business experience, she has been a leader in the arts and nonprofit sectors, serving on the boards of The Seven Hills School, American Red Cross, Fine Arts Fund, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, National Conference for Community and Justice, Community Chest Foundation, Cincinnati Opera Association, United Way and Community Chest, Hebrew Union College and the School for Creative and Performing Arts.
Ms. van der Horst earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics – summa cum laude – from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
She lives in Blue Ash with her husband, Ray, a partner with Deloitte.
They have two sons, Benjamin and Matthew.
