Ms. Elmien van Aardenne is a Portfolio Manager and Head of Hedge Fund Research at Citadel Investment Services Ltd.
She joined Sanlam in 2000, as part of the Investment Advisory service of Sanlam Personal Portfolios.
Here she advised on asset allocation and fund selection for South African clients.
She joined Citadel in July 2002.
Since then she has been involved in portfolio construction, alternative asset research, fund manager selection and implementation of the CINS houseview.
She heads the hedge fund research initiative and manages the hedge fund-of-fund portfolios.
She also oversees the local long-only funds.
Ms. van Aardenne has a degree in Computer Science, and a Masters Degree in Applied Mathematics from Stellenbosch University.
