Mr. Erik J.
Brown is Co-Founder & Principal at Aspire Capital Partners LLC and a Principal at The Chicago Public Education Fund.
He has over twelve years of experience financing private and publicly traded companies.
He spent seven years at Fusion Capital where he was responsible for deal origination and negotiation.
He currently serves as a member of the Advisory Board of AVID Commerce, LLC., a technology firm located in Michigan.
He also serves on the Leadership Council of the Chicago Public Education Fund, a venture capital fund focused on improving public education, and he is on the board of the Kellogg Alumni Club of Chicago.
Prior to joining Aspire Capital, Mr. Brown was the President of CGI Capital, a venture capital firm and NASD broker-dealer in Illinois.
He began his career in finance at Merrill Lynch where he was a financial consultant.
Mr. Brown earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Michigan State University.
