Mr. Fabian de Beer is a Chief Risk Officer at Mergence Investment Managers (Pty) Ltd. He is on the Board of Directors at Mergence Unlisted Investment Managers (Namibia) Pty Ltd. He joined Mergence in 2006 with over 38 years’ experience in financial services, specialising in investment and macro strategy.
Mr. de Beer's primary focus is on investment risk, compliance and regulatory matters across Public and Private markets.
He serves on the Mergence Board as well as the in-country Boards where Mergence operates.
Prior to joining Mergence, Mr. de Beer has held senior and executive management positions at major SA banks and retirement funds.
He has a BCom (majoring in Accounting and Economics) and a post graduate diploma (H.Dip.Ed.) from the University of the Western Cape.
