Ms. Felicia A. Garant is an Assistant Vice President at Spinnaker Trust.
She works with clients on all aspects of trust, IRA and custody administration and income tax issues.
She has over 20 years experience in trust and estate administration and taxation including many years at Pierce Atwood as a Trusts and Estates Paralegal.
She has taught college-level paralegal courses and professional seminars in estate and trust administration.
Ms. Garant previously served two terms on the NALA Board of Directors and served several terms as President of the Maine State Association of Legal Assistants.
In November, 2008, Felicia was selected by the U.S.
Treasury Department to serve a three year term as a member of the national Taxpayer Advocacy Panel, a 101 member Federal Advisory Committee of taxpayer volunteers who work to improve IRS services.
She is a former Council member and Treasurer of Woodfords Congregational Church, and in early 2010, she was appointed to the Finance Committee of the Alzheimer's Association, Maine Chapter.
Other professional memberships include the World Affairs Council of Maine and the Maine Estate Planning Council.
A Maine native, Felicia recently moved to Falmouth after living for a number of years in Cumberland.
Ms. Garant ia a graduate of Bates College, earned her Master's of Science in Business at Husson College and was elected to Sigma Beta Delta, an international honor society for business, management and administration.
In 2005, she completed Cannon Financial Institute's Trust Tax School, earning a certificate in fiduciary taxation.
She also actively maintains the Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) designation she earned through the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) in 1989.
In 2009 she earned the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) certification through the Institute of Certified Bankers.
