Mr. Garonzik has been a member of Fortress Investment Group’s board of directors since February 2007.
Mr. Garonzik retired from Goldman, Sachs Group in November 1999 where he was co-head of the Fixed Income Currency and Commodities Division.
From 1988-1994 he was head of Fixed Income and Capital Markets in Europe, based in London.
He was named a General Partner in 1984.
He is on the Board of Overseers of the Thomas J.
Watson Institute for International Studies, a member of the Corporation of Brown University (Investment Committee Chairman) and has recently served on the boards of the Wharton Financial Institution, the American Federation for Aging Research (Treasurer), the Union Settlement (Finance Chairman) and the Buckley School.
Mr. Garonzik is an Advisory Director to the Asian Special Opportunities Fund at Goldman, Sachs and serves on the Advisory Boards of several for-profit entities.
He received an A.B. from Brown University in 1964 and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1967.
