Nick Bancroft joined Rathbones as an investment director in April 2006 following Rathbones’ acquisition of Dexia’s UK private banking business.
Nick is a graduate of Oxford and Stanford Universities, and has been in investment management all his working life.
For 10 years he was with the Britannia Group of unit trusts where he became UK equity manager.
In 1978 he was a founder director of Tower Fund Managers Ltd, which merged with the bank, Dunbar & Co, in 1981.
This later became part of Allied Dunbar, after a merger with Hambro Life.
In 1985 he joined Robert Bigland and Tim Keown as a third shareholder director of Laurentian Investment Management, which subsequently became Ely Fund Managers, later to become part of the Dexia Group.
