Mr. Jahnke graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1980 with a BBA degree in Accounting and Finance.
After working for two years as a corporate auditor for Beatrice Foods, he earned his MBA degree in Finance from Texas Christian University in 1984.
After graduate school, he spent two years as an analyst for Interfirst Investment Management, one of the largest Texas banks at that time.
In 1985, he earned his CFA accreditation and joined Concorde Financial Corporation in Dallas as a portfolio manager.
In 1987, he left Concorde to form JKE Equity Research which provided investment research on smaller capitalization companies for institutional investors.
While at JKE, he was featured in a major Barron’s article where he highlighted his firm's favorite stock selections.
Mr. Jahnke joined Behind the Numbers in 1991.
