He joined Threadneedle in 2008.
His key responsibilities are the management of the Japanese team, the generation of competitive performance in Threadneedle's Japanese products and the provision of alpha-generating ideas to the global equity and other teams.
He has a long track record in Japanese equities, including extensive local experience.
Immediately prior to joining Threadneedle, he was a Managing Director of Japanese Equities at Prospect in Tokyo, other positions include the role of Chief Investment Officer, Japan for Invesco.
He was with HSBC Asset Management for seventeen years as Fund manager, Director of Japanese Equities and finally as CIO of the Asia Pacific region.
