Ilya Suharenko is a founding partner of LongeVC, a venture capital company supporting early-stage biotech and longevity-focused founders that are changing the world.
Ilya is an accomplished investor with more than 17 years of experience in the traditional banking industry, 10 of them as a board member of the largest privately-owned bank in the Baltics — Rietumu Bank.
He started there as a Secretary of the Supervisory Board in 2004, moving onward to the senior VP of sales and advertising in 2019 and to Deputy Head of the Board in 2015.
In 2021, he became a Member of the Council of Rietumu Bank.
Ilya brings a large range of financial skills to the LongeVC team, including regulations & risk management, and has overseen a loan book of more than $1 billion.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management from King's College London.
