Mr. James R.
McBride, CFA MBA, is a Lead Portfolio Manager at Scout Investments, Inc. He is responsible for firm's Small Cap Equity Strategy and has over 32 years of financial industry experience.
Prior to joining Scout Investments through acquisition in 2009, Mr. McBride worked as vice president and portfolio manager of TrendStar, a firm he co-founded in 2003.
Prior to TrendStar, he was previously employed by KCM as a vice president and research analyst and also served in a number of increasingly responsible positions with Hewlett-Packard and subsidiary companies of Hewlett-Packard from 1989 through 2000.
Mr. McBride earned his MBA with a concentration in Finance from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, in Mechanical Engineering from Wichita State University.
He is also a graduate of the General Electric Manufacturing Management Program for Manufacturing Engineers in 1986.
He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society Kansas City, as well as the CFA Institute.
