From 1990-2012 she was at Mason Street Advisors/Northwestern Mutual.
From 2007-2012 she managed mid-cap portfolios for Northwestern Mutual (NM)’s general account, pension fund and mutual/variable annuity funds with peak assets totaling $2.8 billion.
From 1995-2006 Ms. Grueninger was responsible for managing the company’s general account and pension small cap portfolios with $1.2 billion.
In both capacities, she established a long-term growth strategy with lower turnover and lower risk than industry benchmarks.
She was also a member of the asset allocation committee for the company’s pension account and variable annuity Asset Allocation and Balanced Fund products for fourteen years.
While at NM, Ms. Grueninger also performed fundamental company research across a variety of industries.
Prior to joining NM, she was an equity research analyst with Sanford C.
Bernstein in New York.
She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin.
