O'Dwyer joined Celanese Corp.
in 1981 as a Sales Representative and has been Executive Vice President-Supply Management since February 2008.
Previously, he was Executive Vice President and President for Acetyl Intermediates of Celanese from July 2005 to July 2007 and Vice President-Strategic Procurement and Service Management from 2004 to July 2005.
Prior to 2004, Mr. O'Dwyer held various leadership positions with Celanese, including Director of the Acetyl Intermediate Business Line, Director for the Ethylene Oxide Ethylene Glycol Business Line and General Sales Manager for Asia.
He was based in Frankfurt, Germany, where he served as a Global Solvents Marketing Manager for 2 years and the Hoechst Corporate Strategy Group for 1 year.
Mr. O'Dwyer received a BS degree in Biology from Loyola University of Chicago and an MBA from Northwestern University.
