Profil

Prior to joining Emerging Growth, Mr. LaMarche was involved with Opticon Medical Inc., an early-stage medical technology company, from 1994-2000.
As Vice President of Operations, he assumed broad operational responsibilities in building the company.
In addition to authoring the initial business plans and raising early-stage capital, and putting in place basic management systems and controls, Mr. LaMarche managed a wide range of functions that encompassed engineering, manufacturing, technology development, clinical studies, risk management, human resource and financial reporting/auditing activity.
During this period, he coordinated development efforts that resulted in a number of additional patents issuing to the company.
He also served as a company Director.
During 1993-1994, Mr. LaMarche was a partner in another start-up company that explored the application of optical (laser) memory card technology to the health care and insurance industries.
Throughout the previous 16 years, he served in a variety of progressive management capacities with three insurance companies (Cigna, Equicor, Equitible Group & Health).
Mr. LaMarche earned his M.S.
in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated magna cum laude in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
