As a senior partner within 3i’s European buyout business, Julian Davison has a broad remit that involves transactions across the UK and Europe.
He has overall responsibility for the 3i buyout portfolio and is a member of the Board of Directors of Marken.
He has had a leading role in numerous buyouts which include MORI, Coutts Consulting, E2V, Azzurri, Keolis, Buy as you View and Marken.
He has extensive experience in direct management of 3i’s investments including board representation, and their ultimate realisation including trade sales, secondary buyouts and IPO’s.
Julian Davison joined 3i in 1989 and is based in London.
He left 3i in 1994 to become Finance Director of diary manufacturer Charles Letts, rejoining 3i in 1997 when that business was sold successfully.
Prior to 3i, Julian Davison worked for BP, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse.
He holds a degree in economics from Durham University.
