State Street Global Advisors GmbH (SSgA-D) is the full-service German investment subsidiary of State Street Corp. (NYSE: STT) in the US. Established in 1998, SSgA-D services institutional clients from Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland, including public and corporate pension funds, multinational corporations, insurance companies, foundations, financial institutions, religious organizations and central banks, as well as third-party distributors such as fund of fund managers, private banks, e-banks and brokers. The firm is based in Munich and manages mandates through segregated or pooled vehicles, primarily Spezialfonds (segregated institutional portfolios).
