Schuetze joined Active Power, Inc. in April 2000 as a Development Engineer and has been Vice President-Engineering since July 2007.
Dr. Schuetze has experience in engineering and management with various organizations, including Advanced Systems Integration, the University of Texas at Austin,'s Center for Electromechanics, McDonald Douglas and General Dynamics.
He was an Officer in the US Army Reserves.
Dr. Schuetze received a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech University.
