BM-T Beteiligungsmanagement Thüringen GmbH (BMT) is the investment arm and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Thüringen Aufbaubank, which in turn is part of Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen Girozentrale, also known as HELABA-Hessische Landesbank. HELABA is a regional bank in Länder Hessen and Thüringen, controlled but the Government of Germany. BMT was established in 2003 and is headquartered in Erfurt, the capital of Land Thüringen in central Germany. The firm invests on behalf of the German government, and is backed by Land Thüringen. They originally received capital from TBG-Technologie Beteiligungs GmbH as well. TBG is a Bonn-based private equity entity part of the government-controlled KfW Bankengruppe. BMT manages venture capital and private equity funds.

CDA GmbH manufactures optical storage media products. It offers CD's, DVD's, Blu-Ray's and high definition printing services. The firm's products include micro-optics and microfluidics, besides printable electronic circuits. Its elements are made of different plastics used in mechanical engineering, automotive industry and consumer electronics. The company was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Suhl, Germany.
