Mr. Kensuke Shizunaga is President & Founding Partner at MBK Partners KK.
He currently serves on the boards of directors of Yayoi and Tasaki.
Prior to co-founding MBK Partners, Mr. Shizunaga was Managing Director and head of Carlyle Japan Partners.
Before joining Carlyle Japan, Mr. Shizunaga was General Partner of Schroder Ventures KK (renamed MKS Partners).
He served previously on the boards of Asahi Security, Zymax Corporation and Orient Credit Co. Mr. Shizunaga spent 19 years in investment banking in various capacities in corporate finance and M&A. At Lehman Brothers, where he had the longest tenure, Mr. Shizunaga was Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking in Japan.
Mr. Shizunaga received a BA from Waseda University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
