Mr. Kevin R.
Kelly is Chief Investment Officer & Managing Partner at Recon Capital Partners LLC and Chief Investment Officer at Recon Capital Advisors LLC.
He oversees all investment decisions, research, and strategies in the equity and options markets.
He also serves as Portfolio Manager for all of firm’s exchange traded funds.
Prior to co-founding Recon Capital Partners in January 2012, Mr. Kelly served as a Portfolio Manager for Tontine Capital, a hedge fund, from 2008 - 2011.
Before joining Tontine Capital, he was Vice President of Investments for Source Capital Group, Inc. based in Westport, Connecticut.
His role focused on alternative investments and structured products.
He has also worked at Deutsche Bank on its US Private Placement's Debt Team in London assisting in originating, syndicating, and executing private bond issues of offshore companies sold to qualified institutional buyers.
His duties included performing analysis of client credit spreads, monitoring treasury rates, swaps curves, LIBOR, credit ratings and all non-USD denominated transactions.
He also worked for Goldman, Sachs & Co. in San Francisco, for a wealth management team.
He performed due diligence on companies, assets, and investment managers while at Goldman.
Mr. Kelly received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, Summa Cum Laude, from the W.P.
Carey School of Business and the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University.
He has his series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses.
