Prior to joining Oakmont, Mr. Hurson was a research analyst for FTN Midwest Research specializing in the Electrical Equipment and Semiconductor Equipment industries.
Mr. Hurson has made the transition from electrical engineering to financial analysis of technology companies after earning years of insight into the industry by developing advanced technology products, managing manufacturing operations, performing financial modeling, analyzing and valuing technological and manufacturing corporations as well as participating in the merger and acquisition process.
Prior to joining Midwest Research, Mr. Hurson worked as an electronic procurement manager, production manager, engineering project manager, financial analyst and contracts manager.
In addition to Mr. Hurson's extensive technology industry background, his research is complemented by the inside knowledge and professional contacts he has developed over the years.
Mr. Hurson received a MBA in 1998 from the University of Southern California, MBA a MS from Brooklyn Polytechnic University in 1988 and a BS from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1985.
