Kin Mun Lye is the founder of Cellonics, Inc. He is currently the Executive Director at the Institute for Infocomm Research, a Member at the Communications Research Laboratory, and a Member at the Board On Global Science & Technology.
Previously, he served as the Director at the National University of Singapore from 1993 to 2002.
He was also the Deputy Executive Director at the Agency for Science, Technology & Research in 2013 and 2014.

Dr. Lye completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta in 1974 and received his doctorate degree from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa in 1984.
He also graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1979.
