Liel is Tegrity's chief technologist and led development of Tegrity's patented computer vision technology, the core of the software that won the Israeli Prime Minister's Award for Computer Software.
During his army service, Liel led a computer vision team that won the Israel Defense Forces Intelligence Prize for Innovation in 1995.
He graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with a master's degree in computer science.
