Prior to joining Laird Norton Tyee in 2002, Ms. Kaufman was chief investment officer at Northwestern Mutual Trust Company where she was responsible for the overall philosophy, design and management of the investment program, including traditional and special asset management.
Previously she held director and vice president positions at Frank Russell Company working with major consulting clients to develop fixed income strategies, developing and managing funds and overseeing alternative investment groups and portfolios.
Earlier in her career she served as a financial consultant at Merrill, Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith.
Ms. Kaufman earned her bachelor’s degree in Asian studies from the University of Michigan and her MBA in finance from the Wharton School.
She is also registered as a Certified Financial Planner and holds a Series 65 license.
