Maido joined BaltCap in 2020 from one of the largest pension fund managers in Estonia, LHV Asset Management, where he dealt mostly with the legal issues related to illiquid asset classes held in pension funds’ portfolios.
In BaltCap Maido is responsible for managing the compliance function and advising the partners, investment directors and other employees of BaltCap group on various legal questions.
Maido holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Tartu.
He has attended numerous international law courses on subjects connected to regulatory side of alternative fund management, participated European Private Law Summer School in the University of Salzburg and taken a course in Corporate Finance Law in London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
