Ms. Schumacher joined Landaas & Co. in 1996.
She went to work as a sales assistant at an investment bank fresh out of Marquette University.
Within a year, she was advising clients.
She became a Certified Financial Planner and registered representative of firms overseen by the New York Stock Exchange and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
But as time went by and investment firms merged and mushroomed, demands for profitability ratcheted higher.
Making money for the business threatened to compromise her commitments to long-term client objectives.
Ms. Schumacher has a son and daughter, enjoys hiking, biking, books and art.
She tutors at Our Next Generation homework club, a treasurer of the Milwaukee Episcopal Diocese and serves on the board of St. John’s on the Lake retirement community.
