Mr. Offman has been the President and CEO of The Art Shoppe Ltd.
since 1976.
Toronto-based and family-owned, The Art Shoppe is Canada’s leading fine furniture retailer.
He is also Chairman of Artco Contract Furnishings Ltd., a firm that markets to and manufactures furniture for 5-star hotels internationally.
Mr. Offman’s extensive business knowledge includes expertise in marketing, merchandising, operations and staffing, and he has strategic retailing experience from various countries around the world.
He is a past Member of the Business Board and the Real Estate Subcommittee of the Governing Council at the University of Toronto (1993-2005) and is a Past Director of the University of Toronto Press (2003-2005).
He is currently a Governor of Mt.
Sinai Hospital and sits on the board of Imperial Capital.
He received an Arbor Award, given for outstanding voluntary service, from the University of Toronto in 1997.
Mr. Offman received his BA in Political Science and Economics from the University of Toronto in 1954, graduated from Osgoode Hall and was called to the Bar in 1957, and received his LLB in 1970.
