Dr. Michel Queruel is Founder & Chief Executive Officer at Pentelia Capital Management (Bermuda) Ltd. founded in 2007.
His primary responsibilities include supervision of the investment and underwriting committees, definition of the strategies, allocation of the funds, and capital/debt raising.
He joined IXIS CIB (now NATIXIS) in 2001 where he set up the Alternative Risk Transfer Desk.
This department focused on insurance-linked assets, including catastrophe bonds, life settlements, weather derivatives, terrorism cover, longevity and mortality protection.
Prior to joining IXIS CIB, Dr. Queruel worked from 1998 for Société Générale, where he developed structured solutions on alternative funds, and during which time he launched the first European fund for weather derivatives and catastrophe bonds.
From 1996 he had worked as a quantitative analyst at securities firm, Aurel Leven.
Dr. Queruel has a PhD in actuarial and financial sciences from the University of Lyon.
