Mr. Nikhil Palekar is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP and is a member of the firm's Electronics Practice.
Prior to joining Foley, he founded Suntagma, LLC, a company that developed and marketed an innovative email system to provide secure and confidential communications between users.
In this role, he handled all the legal and business issues, including intellectual property and client development.
In addition, Mr. Palekar was a research consultant with Teles AG, where he researched U.S.
patent law cases and analyzed the relevant technologies involved.
He was also a research and writing fellow at the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Clinic at the American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Palekar earned his law degree from Duke University School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2009), where he was articles editor of the Duke Journal of Comparative & International Law and vice president of the Intellectual Property and Cyberlaw Society.
He graduated from John Hopkins University, receiving his master's degree (M.S., security informatics, 2006) and his bachelor's degree (B.S., computer science, General and Departmental Honors, 2005).
