Mr. Junquera began his career at PaineWebber's Investment Banking Division in 1980.
He was appointed Managing Director in 1988, Group Head - Financial Institutions in 1990, and a member of the Investment Banking Executive Committee in 1995, subsequent to the firm's acquisition of Kidder, Peabody & Co. Upon the sale of PaineWebber to UBS in 2000, the majority of Mr. Junquera's team became part of the Global Financial Institutions Group at UBS Investment Bank.
He was appointed Global Head of Asset Management Investment Banking and was responsible for establishing and building the bank's leading franchise with mutual fund, institutional, high net worth and alternative asset management firms, as well as banks, insurance and financial services companies active in asset management.
He managed a global team of investment bankers based in New York, London and Tokyo.
Mr. Junquera's experience covers a unique cross-section of strategic advisory and capital markets activities, combined with the structuring and distribution of investment funds and permanent capital vehicles.
Mr. Junquera holds a BS from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
