Newton Investment Management Limited, the UK asset management subsidiary of Mellon Financial Corporation, has announced the appointment of Paula Niall to its Global Equities team.
Niall joined on 8 June.
In her role, Niall will be drawing on her extensive fund management experience and using her stock picking skills to enhance performance, actively manage risk and help bring in new business.
Niall joins Newton after previously spending four years as a Global Equity fund manager at Canada Life in Dublin.
She has eight years' experience as a UK Institutional equity fund manager and a strong track record managing segregated and balanced pension funds as well as specialist unit trust funds.
Following a Masters degree in Economic Science at the University of Dublin, Niall's first appointment in the industry was with Guinness Mahon as an investment analyst, with her first fund management responsibility in 1991 with Swiss Bank Corporation.
The appointment will add to the strength and depth of the Newton team.
Niall reports to Paul Butler, Team Leader - Global Equities, at Newton.
