Peter M.
Brown was the founder of Canaccord Genuity Group, Inc. (founded in 1968) and held the title of Director from 2012 to 2014.
He currently holds the position of Vice Chairman at The Fraser Institute.
He is also the Chairman of Canaccord Capital Corp.
(since 1968), Vice Chairman of the Investment Industry Association of Canada (since 2013), and a Director at Keg Restaurants Ltd., Vancouver 2010 Olympic Organizing Committee, The Vancouver Prostate Centre, and PC-TRiADD.
Dr. Brown has formerly held positions as Chairman at Canaccord Adams, the University of British Columbia, The Vancouver Police Foundation, Vancouver Stock Exchange, BC Place Corp., and BC Enterprise Corp.
He was also Vice Chairman at Expo 86 Corp.
in 2003.
Additionally, he has served as a Director at Mogo Finance Technology, Inc. (2016), the Investment Dealers Association of Canada, Vancouver Convention Centre Expansion Project Ltd., and the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada.
Dr. Brown is a Member of the Chief Executives Organization, Inc., the Business Council of British Columbia, Business for the Arts, and the Young Presidents' Organization (Canada).
He has also been a Trustee at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
Prior to his current and former positions, Dr. Brown worked as a Principal at Greenshields, Inc. from 1962 to 1967 and was a Member of the Atlantic Institute for International Affairs.
